Meet Penelope, a sweet senior Chihuahua whose lustrous copper-colored coat is just as lovely as her personality. This little lady is completely house trained and wonderfully well behaved when left alone, making her an easygoing companion. She enjoys leisurely walks and is a great little walker-although, like any seasoned Chihuahua, she's perfectly happy to skip the marathon and keep her adventures at a comfortable pace. She may have a few opinions about unfamiliar dogs she sees on walks, which she'll happily announce with a bark.

Penelope's favorite place is wherever her people are. During the day, she'll curl up in her dog bed or stretch out on the couch, and when evening comes, she's happiest perched on a lap soaking up some affection. At night, she loves sleeping alongside her humans. Her foster says Penelope is happiest with regular human company, though she has learned that when her people leave, they really do come back.

Sweet, affectionate, and looking for nothing more complicated than good company and good food, Penelope is ready to spend her golden years being someone's cherished little companion. If you're looking for a loyal lap dog who will happily be your coworker, couch companion, and nighttime snuggle buddy, Penelope may be your perfect match.
