When it is available, Care for Real offers pet food at food distributions at the Edgewater pantry for food pantry clients living in 60640, 60660, 60645, 60659, 60626 zip codes. Pet food is extremely limited and they are unable to guarantee its availability. Visit their website for requirements.

Clients must live in this region:
North of Montrose Ave, and East of 294, and South of Lake Cook Road, or in Des Plaines. Proof of residence is required for approval to receive food. Must complete on line form.

Serving DuPage County, DSCC Pet Food & Assistance service helps seniors by providing pet food and veterinary visits for their pet. They have volunteers who can stop by a senior’s home to deliver pet food so they don’t have to worry about how they can get pet food for their friends. For Evanston-area residents who are in need of assistance with providing food for their furry family members. Arrive during open hours and a volunteer will assist you. Proof of residence within one of the following zip codes is required to receive assistance through the Community Pet Pantry. In addition to providing dog and cat food, the pantry can usually provide kitty litter, treats and, when available, leashes, bowls and new or gently used toys. Pet food distribution is the third Saturday of every month: 9 – 11 a.m.

Assists unemployed and underemployed families who have trouble feeding and caring for their pets. Pet food distribution occurs during regular pantry hours, on Wednesday mornings from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. and the second Tuesday of every month from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. within the 60641 and 60618 zip codes.

Pet Food is distributed every other Thursday during regular distribution hours. Pet owners must be registered at Kendall County Community Food Pantry, and pets must be registered in advance. See website for details.

Through CAFÉ pet food assistance program, Red Door donates pet food and cat litter to Care for Real (www.careforreal.org), 5339 N. Sheridan Rd., Chicago, IL 60640. Their Pet Food Pantry occurs the first Thursday of every month.

Food assistance is available once a month by appointment only. Visit their website to fill out an application.

Food is distributed Monday, Wednesday, and Friday afternoons. Pet food may be available. You must register and receive an ID to be eligible. To complete the registration and receive your ID card, you will need to come into the office located at 4711 Indiana Ave., Lisle, IL.
