Promoting Your Foster Dog for Adoption Want to post on your own? Tag SCCR!

Marketing your foster dog is one of the most important ways you can help them find their forever home! Here are some simple and effective ways to promote your pup through bios, photos, and social media.

It starts with a Great Bio
About a week after you bring your foster dog home, the SCCR Bios Team will reach out and ask you to fill out a Questionnaire for Foster Parents. This information helps us create an engaging bio for the adoption website.
Tips for a Great Bio:
  • Highlight your dog’s personality, quirks, and special traits
  • Include their likes and dislikes
  • Describe the type of home that would be the best fit

Share on Social Media Want to post on your own?
Pro Tips:
  • Like, comment on, and share SCCR’s posts featuring your foster pup
  • The more engagement a post gets, the more people it reaches
  • Email is the best way to make sure we see your content—don’t rely on tags alone!

Thank you for helping your foster dog shine—we couldn’t do it without you!
Send in Quality Photos Please email photos of your foster dog to photos@sccrescue.org. Good photos are key to getting them posted and noticed on our website and social media. Include your foster dog’s name in the email and let us know anything fun or unique we can share!
Photo Tips:
  • Take a mix of headshots and full-body shots
  • Use natural light or bright indoor lighting
  • Portrait (vertical) mode works best
  • Simple backgrounds keep the focus on your pup
  • Try to capture eye contact—use treats, toys, or squeaky shoes to grab their attention!
